We are a small group of doctors with a passion for medical education, who developed T-Log in partnership with University of Bristol. We use T-Log to record our own medical teaching, and are committed to continually improving our service in order to enhance the day-to-day lives of health professionals.
Ideas & Inception
After graduating from the University of Glasgow, Phil completed his foundation training in Bristol and was subsequently appointed as a University of Bristol Clinical Teaching Fellow. He has since been appointed as an Academic Specialist Trainee in Cardiothoracic Surgery and remains passionate about seeing trainees and consultants alike rewarded for their teaching efforts. His interests include education and clinical research as well as cardiac and general thoracic surgery.
Phil first set up and introduced T-Log after getting fed up with everything else going paperless and smartphone-friendly except the teaching section of his portfolio. Other paperless parts of his life that are important to him include his Specialized racing bike and skiing holidays.
Ideas & DevelopmentFinn works as an Academic Foundation Doctor in London. He designed and coded this website, and is actively involved in developing and promoting T-Log.

His previous projects include Prepare for the PSA, an online platform for collaborative prescribing and therapeutics education, and Swindon Medical Student Guide, an information website commissioned by Great Western Hospital. He is also involved in a number of more traditional medical research projects.
Outside of medicine, Finn enjoys music of all kinds, philosophy, basketball and running.

InceptionGraduating from the University of Leicester, Dan completed his foundation training in the East Midlands. He went on to pursue his interest in medical education working as an Anatomy Demonstrator for the University of Bristol and subsequently as the Clinical Teaching Fellow at the Bristol Royal Infirmary.
It was during this latter role that he came up with the idea of creating a practical online logbook for medical educators to record and learn from teaching activities, accessible at all stages of their training.
He currently works as a Trauma & Orthopaedics SpR in the East Midlands and outside of work he enjoys flying, DIY projects and getting to grips with life as a new Dad!
